The long walk
Long is relative, is it not? The haze went away for a little while yesterday and the sky above Grange Road was actually blue at 6pm. Well, somewhat blue, at least. Not grey, definetly. Waiting to cross the road to the bus stop, the glowing dark pink flowers of the Frangipani-like tree on the other side seemed to emanate a warmth which seemed to say they were happy for the sunshine, too. To celebrate, I took out a camera and took a photograph of them.It's funny how much more we see after we have been kept away for a while.
Walking on, I saw these tiny pink flowers. They must have been no larger than a mere 1cm in diameter, at most. They were very, very sweet, in their unassuming way.
And so, it was a very slow 100m I walked to the bus stop yesterday on the way back from Grange Road. I had never noticed before, but that pavement has always been lined with bushes blossoming with these.

Only, I had never before paid any attention.
